RIK rings are characterized by high strength, dissipate piston heat into the cylinder and regulate the oil film on the cylinder surface which leads to long-term maintenance of adequate compression in the combustion chamber.

Riken was founded in 1927 to commercialize an innovative piston ring manufacturing method invented by the aforementioned research institute. Since its founding, based on outstanding technologies of materials, machining, surface treatment and so on, Riken has grown into a global piston ring supplier and a globally unique corporate group.

It is a Japan-Taiwan joint venture so some products are manufactured in Japan, some in Taiwan, and some may be in ARCO packaging.
